There are currently 26 sworn officers employed with the department which includes 15 patrol officers, 6 detectives, chief of police and assistant chief of police, one code enforcement officer, one warrant officer, and one school resource officer. The Assistant Chief of Police also serves as the department’s training coordinator. In addition to paid staff, the Aransas Pass Police Department has partnered with criminal justice programs both in the Aransas Pass Independent School District as well as Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas. Primarily, we have positioned our university interns within our criminal investigations division to work with our evidence/crime scene technician.
