The Aransas Pass Police Department is dedicated to safeguarding life and property, preserving the peace, detecting and preventing crime, enforcing the law and protecting the rights of all citizens. We are committed to working in partnership with the community to identify and resolve the problems that impact public safety.
The officers are committed to providing the highest quality of police services to the people who live, work and visit our City. We will constantly evaluate and improve our efforts to enhance public safety with the goal of improving the quality of life within the City of Aransas Pass, while at the same time maintaining respect for individual rights and human dignity.
The Aransas Pass Police Department was established in 1946. There are currently 24 sworn officers employed with the department which includes 14 patrol officers, 6 detectives, a warrant officer, an SRO officer, the Chief and the Assistant Chief/Training Coordinator. The Aransas Pass Police Department also employs civilian staff, which consists of 3 Administrative positions and 7 Communications Officers.
