About Us – Welcome to Aransas Pass Police Online. At Aransas Pass Police Department, we are dedicated to safeguarding life and property, preserving the peace, detecting and preventing crime, enforcing the law and protecting the rights of all citizens. We are committed to delivering smart, dynamic policing in partnership with our community in order to identify and resolve the problems which impact public safety and peace.

Our officers are committed to providing the highest quality of police services to those who live, work, play, and visit within our community. We are constantly evaluating and improving our efforts to enhance public safety with the goal of improving the quality of life for all, while at the same time maintaining respect for individual rights and human dignity.

Our department was established in 1946. Currently, there are 27 sworn officers, which includes 17 patrol officers, a school resource officer, 6 detectives, an administrative/emergency operations captain, assistant police chief, and the chief of police. The assistant chief and administrative captain also serve as the department’s training directors. Additionally, we have 8 telecommunications officers (one of whom is also a sworn officer), 2 administrative staff members, and 1 civilian evidence/crime scene technician.

In addition to paid staff, the department partners with the criminal justice programs both in the Aransas Pass Independent School District as well as Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas. We support these programs through our police explorers program and intern program. Our Texas A&M interns typically worked within our investigations department.
