The Aransas Pass Police Department is kicking off this years annual holiday dinner drive and Cops for Tots Toy Drive. Over the past few years we have been able to make this event successful through your donations. In fact, last year was our most successful year for toy donations thus far!! Last year, we were able to purchase 20 Thanksgiving dinners which were delivered to residents in need within the City Limits of Aransas Pass. That was quite a jump up from other previous years where we were only able to give out upwards of 20 dinners total for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Let’s see if we can out do all previous years this Holiday season!
Laura Welborn, Sgt. Dennis Anders, and administrative secretary Gina Villarreal did a great job organizing and carrying out these events this past year and will remain the organizers of the event this year. We would like to wish all these families in need and the many more within our community, a safe and Happy Holiday Season!!
If you would like to donate money for Holiday Dinners or unwrapped toys, we ask that you deliver your donation to the Aransas Pass Police Department. We have large boxes in our lobby for donated toys, please don't forget the older children too. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Aransas Pass Police Department Holiday Fund and turned in at the PD to Gina Villarreal. The Aransas Pass Police Department will be responsible for purchasing the Holiday Dinner sets and delivering them to the approved families prior to Thanksgiving and Christmas.
If you would like more information or know of a family in need, please contact Sgt. Dennis Anders or Gina Villarreal at the Aransas Pass Police Department by calling 361-758-5224. Families in need can submit an online application through our Holiday Dinner and Toy Drive Application form.
Again, we appreciate your continued support and generous donations. Happy Holidays!
