As with any City in America, Aransas Pass has its share of drug crimes.  Our commonly abused drugs are Marijuana and prescription pills, according to recent statistics.

Though many criticize, law enforcement’s war on drugs is more about the war on crime.  Many involved with drugs are often involved in other crimes, as well. There’s a correlation between users and property crimes, as well violent crimes.  Users often commit property crimes to support their habit.

In AP, we regularly work hard on combatting drug crimes. We work closely through our partnerships with surrounding agencies as well as our federal partners. We also depend on our community’s support and insight.
